Hyeolwol is a free mobile game for iOS and Android. There are no accounts and no login. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information ourselves. The app may show ads (see the "Advertising" section below).

Since August 2026, hyeolwol.com is an informational website, and a browser build of the same game is playable at hyeolwol.com/play/ with no install or login (restored August 26, 2026). For data the browser build keeps in your browser, see the "Website" section below.

Mobile app (iOS · Android)

The Hyeolwol mobile app distributed on the App Store and Google Play is a game you can play through to the end without an internet connection. Game progress (checkpoints, outfit unlock history, settings) and the signature (a name you may type) engraved on Hyeolwolrok cards are stored only on your device, transmitted nowhere, and deleted when the app is removed.

Starting with mobile app version 1.2.0, the app sends aggregate events through Firebase Analytics to help us improve the game — app launches, the character you pick, waves reached, wins and losses, retries and continues, and Hyeolwolrok card awards or shares. Names, signatures, and checkpoint contents are never included in analytics events. Network use in the app is limited to this analytics and the advertising described below. (The web analytics tools listed further down — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — are not included in the app.)

Advertising (third party — mobile app only)

Scope: this section applies to mobile app version 1.1.0 and later. Version 1.0.0, currently live on the stores, contains no ads and collects or transmits no data.

The mobile app may show interstitial ads via Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalized; we do not track you to build a profile. To serve ads, prevent fraud, improve performance, and produce aggregate reports, Google may process your device's advertising identifier, IP address (approximate location), ad interaction data (impressions, clicks), non-user-related crash logs, and performance or diagnostic information such as app launch time. Some of this data — such as advertising data and approximate location — may be processed in connection with your device's advertising identifier. • In regions that require consent (EEA/UK), a consent screen (Google UMP) is shown before any ad request; you can change your choice at any time.
• If you are offline or an ad fails to load, the game simply continues without ads — watching ads is never a condition for playing.

Website (hyeolwol.com)

This site consists of static pages — an introduction, guides, and this policy — plus a browser build of the game at /play/. The browser build runs without accounts or login; checkpoints, outfit unlock history, and your signature are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to a server. Of the analytics tools below, only the one that applies to this website (Microsoft Clarity) applies to the browser build.

The site may show ads via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies or similar technologies and may process device information and IP addresses to serve ads, prevent fraud, and produce aggregate reports. In regions that require consent (EEA/UK), consent is obtained before ads are requested. See Google's advertising technologies.

Data from the earlier web build. If you played on this site before August 2026, checkpoints, outfit unlock history, and your signature may remain in your browser's localStorage, and the restored browser build continues from that data. That data was never uploaded to our servers, and you can remove it anytime by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics (third party)

• Microsoft Clarity — this website only — anonymized interaction data such as heatmaps and session replays, used to improve the pages. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

These tools use cookies or similar technologies, and device identifiers and IP addresses may be processed by their providers. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use the GA opt-out add-on; the game works identically either way.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and delivery. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
